Blue Pizza

An emotional slice of life.

Today is #PizzaFriday, which means today’s Odd News PAC story will cover another bizarre report involving our favorite food.

We’ve all been there. The perfect pizza arrives, a cheesy, glorious beacon of happiness. But what if that slice of joy brought tears instead of a smile? And how is that even possible?

We’ll take a deep dish dive into a survey that reveals a surprising, and frankly, emotional, side of America’s relationship with pizza. This is one pairing that might list its status as ‘It’s complicated.” Find out what the problem is and some cheerful advice on how to patch things up with our pizza pies.

Then, to celebrate our Platinum Anniversary (PAC!), we take a trip down comedy4cast memory lane. Today’s classic clip is a fan favorite: a look back at some of the many, many corrections and apologies that we have had to make.

So grab a slice and join us for a little Odd News and a lot of classic comedy4cast.

Field-Tested Fur

The runaway pooch of Kangaroo Island.

Another day, another odd news story. Today we’re heading to a remote part of Australia for a true story that defies all expectations. A pet goes missing on Kangaroo Island. That sounds like fun, but it’s a place teeming with predators! Oh no!

Looking Into The Pillow Case

Don’t lose sleep over this one.

Welcome back to Day 5 of the Dog Days of Podcasting! This month, we’re bringing you a new episode every day, featuring a bizarre-but-true Odd News story and a classic clip from the comedy4cast archives.

In this edition of “Odd News PAC,” we’re talking about a travel hack that’s taking to the skies. Are you tired of paying those pesky and expensive airline baggage fees? Well, some savvy travelers have found a loophole. It turns out that while most airlines limit you to a carry-on and a personal item, a travel pillow might be your new luggage best friend.

Of course, this hack isn’t without its risks. As we discuss in the episode, getting caught could lead to a less-than-glamorous exit from your flight.

To celebrate the Platinum Anniversary of comedy4cast (or PAC), we’re also taking a trip down memory lane! In a classic clip from May 2007, Clinton dives into the absurdity of things randomly being declared “official”. Prepare to have your mind blown when you find out what comedy4cast is the Official Podcast of.

Tune in to hear the full story and relive a moment of comedy4cast history!

Türkiye Loaf

Sandwiching in a story about bread.

We’re already a few days into our month of Odd News PAC stories for the Dog Days of Podcasting, and today we’re serving up something truly stale. But in a good way!

In this edition, we’re slicing into the baffling tale of a 5,000-year-old loaf of bread unearthed by archaeologists in Türkiye. And there’s no doubt about it, this is one mysterious loaf. Who baked it? Why was it buried under the entrance to a house? Was it part of an ancient ritual? So many questions. You’ll have to listen to find out what rye comments Clinton will make about this very odd discovery.

But that’s not all! As we continue to celebrate the Platinum Anniversary of comedy4cast, we’re looking back at some of our favorite moments. This episode features a classic clip from 2006 with a skit that finds Clinton answering listener emails, with the help of fellow podcasters. It’s a hilarious look back at a much simpler time in podcasting.

So, why wheat? Press play and let us know: Would you try a slice of 5,000-year-old bread?

Lending their voices in this episode are Steve Runner (“Phedippidations” podcast), Scott Johnson (“Frogpants Studios” family of podcasts) and Grant Baciocco (“Saturday Morning Media” family of fine podcasts).
