A Pocket-Sized Paradise

The tiny country that’s hard to find on any map.

In this edition of our Odd News series, we take you to a pocket-sized paradise. It seems an ambitious young man has decided to create his own micronation. We’d say that was no small feat. We’ll give you some details about this European destination set on a forgotten patch of land. It’s a bold experiment in statehood. But as you’ll hear in this episode of our comedy podcast, even a small-scale sovereignty can come up against some big-time complications.

We’re also continuing to celebrate the Platinum Anniversary of comedy4cast with a throwback to a classic comedy4cast clip! Get prepared to meet a character named Worthington Hammond Chesterfield III. He’s a man who, despite his name and elegant way of speaking, is anything but sophisticated. In fact, everyone just calls him Hamm! Find out how his fancy accent has made his life difficult throughout the years.

To get the 411 on a pocket-sized paradise and Hamm, give the full episode a listen!

Drawbridge Not Included

A Vacation Home with an Identical Twin.

In this edition of Odd News PAC, we take a look at a unique real estate development that promised luxury but delivered… well, something else. It’s a tale of an ambitious project that came up short, but left a very lasting impression. This place is so absurd, you’ll be glad you don’t have to live there. We’ve got the full story, from the outlandish plans to the bizarre outcome.

Plus, as part of our Platinum Anniversary of comedy4cast celebration, we’re sharing a classic clip from the archives. Head back to November of 2010 with us for a parody of ghost-hunting shows. In the clip, the team with a questionable name, Spirits and Hauntings Advanced Asset Management (or SHAAM for short), gets a strange call from a familiar hotel. It all goes exactly as you’d expect.

So, get ready for a trip to a strange real estate development and a classic comedy4cast clip. We think you’ll enjoy both.

This SUV Cooks!

A ride for the person who needs everything.

“Odd News PAC” is back! This time with a story about an SUV that is MORE than you need. But, since the Dog Days of Podcasting event is over for 2025, we’ll be bringing you the remainder of this year’s 31 Odd News stories with a totally made-up event: “Dog Days of Pumpkin Spice Season.”

In today’s Odd News story, we’re taking a look at a luxury vehicle that seems to have a few too many bells and whistles. What started as a partnership between a high-end automaker and a luxury appliance brand has resulted in a sort of Frankenstein-ish one-of-a-kind sports utility vehicle: the Lexus Monogram GX. It’s perfect for a road trip. If, that is, you don’t mind a little less space for passengers and cargo.

In addition, as part of our Platinum Anniversary Celebration, marking 20 years of comedy4cast, we’re pulling a classic episode out of the vault. Get ready to graduate with the Marx Brothers! This clip is from an episode that was released in 2006. It envisions Groucho as Professor Rufus T. Serenity giving a bizarre commencement speech. And, of course, Chico and Harpo are there too. There’s even a Margaret Dumont-type foil !

Tune in to find out what strange and luxurious features are packed into this one-of-a-kind vehicle, and get a dose of classic comedy!

Lending their voice in this episode is Bonnie Kenderdine.
